Women in Fashion’s approach to mentoring is to provide an amazing selection of experienced mentors approved by us. Women who have had successful careers in the Fashion Industry, and are looking to support the next generation. We offer two levels of support. Senior Mentors who have experience operating at Board Level in large organisations or who have launched and grown a successful business, and have experience mentoring senior executives . And Mentors who have experience in mentoring young executives to plan and develop their careers, make the right career choices, and achieve their maximum potential, or who have started their own business and are happy to share their experience.
We know that there are specific points in any career where some additional guidance and direction can make all the difference. Our mentors can guide and support you to address specific career challenges; develop a more structured approach to your professional executive career; or start your new business the right way.
We also know that it’s important to select the right mentor, to find a good fit. If you feel that after your first session that you have not found the right fit, please contact us and we will arrange for a new mentor that meets your requirements.

A mentor works with you at all stages of your career to:
Support you to manage career paths and career decisions
Provide advice on your CV and interview technique
Help you to overcome a specific issue or ongoing business challenges that you may be facing in your current role.
Act as a sounding board for ideas and issues.

Share experience and knowledge relevant to the matter in hand. This could be of the sector or general professional experience.

3. What will I receive when I enrol in the Mentor Program?
An introductory session to discuss your goals for the program.
An agreement outlining objectives for the mentoring engagement signed off by both the mentee and mentor.
Five one-hour phone or skype sessions with your assigned mentor.
Tracking of progress and accumulation of feedback online.
An opportunity to purchase additional mentoring sessions in packages of one hour sessions
