About Us – What is the WMAD group

WMAD (Working Moms and Dads) is a Facebook group established by Heidi Saunders, aimed at reducing unemployment rates in South Africa by sharing genuine job opportunities, offering advice on CVs and cover letters, imparting interview techniques, and more, all for the benefit of WMAD members.

With over 20 years of formal experience spanning various domains such as clerical work, administration, accounts, executive assistance, reception, secretarial duties, office management, legal services, and IT helpdesk support, I made the decision in 2016 to transition from my secure corporate position to fully devote myself to WMAD. “My motivation stems from a deep-seated passion for empowering individuals to enhance their employability through refining their CVs and personal branding.”

We affectionately refer to ourselves as WMADians (pronounced “Woh-madians”). As Working Moms And Dads, we form a tight-knit community committed to effecting positive change in the employment landscape.

At WMAD, our primary focus is on transforming lives and effecting change, one opportunity at a time. Our members, driven by a shared dedication to altruism, actively seek out and disseminate authentic employment prospects within our close community. We take great pride in assisting individuals in overhauling their CVs and Cover Letters, as well as offering guidance on crafting a compelling digital presence that leaves a lasting impact on their online career profiles.

Since 2015, WMAD has served as a pillar of support, and we are eager to continue our journey alongside you. Stay tuned for our CV giveaways, generously provided by our members who are always ready to lend a helping hand.

But our mission extends beyond personal advancement; we also believe in giving back to society. We leverage our resources to enhance CVs for those in need and extend support to the less fortunate in our community.

Join our #WMADFamily and become a part of our noble cause. Don’t hesitate to reach out to us at info@wmad.co.za. As fellow advocates for positive change, please share any authentic job opportunities you encounter, and let’s collaborate to assist the mothers and fathers of our nation in finding meaningful employment.
